Event Information
At Xochi, guests experience the vibrant flavors and rich culinary traditions of Oaxaca, complemented by carefully selected wines, mezcal, and attentive service. Located in downtown Houston, our restaurant offers spacious private dining rooms and a covered patio, ideal for gatherings of any size.
Xochi is the perfect setting for business lunches, happy hours, birthdays, anniversaries, rehearsal dinners, bridal and baby showers, graduations, company parties, holiday celebrations, cocktail receptions, and more.
Our experienced team will assist with every detail of your event, from menu planning to floral arrangements, and can also provide support with audio/visual equipment for presentations or entertainment. Guests may select from our curated set menus, or our culinary team can create a custom menu designed specifically for your occasion.
Prefer to celebrate elsewhere? Our team can also bring the flavors of Xochi to you with off-site catering. Whether you’re planning full-service catering or a simple drop-off, our team is here to make the process seamless.

Parking
We are located downtown on the 1st floor of the Marriott Marquis across from Discovery Green at the corner of Walker and Crawford.
Valet parking is available at our front door for $11.

Espadín
Located to the left behind the wine display as you enter Xochi, the Espadín Room is a bright and versatile private dining space ideal for a variety of gatherings. Named after the most widely used agave in mezcal production, the room reflects Xochi’s connection to the traditions of Oaxaca. Windows provide natural light, and the flexible layout accommodates both intimate groups and larger events. The room is equipped with a TV for presentations and features a display of colorful alebrije-style trophy heads representing various animals.

Chapulín
Located at the opposite end of the dining room at Xochi, the Chapulín Room is a smaller private dining space ideal for intimate celebrations or business meetings. Chapulín, meaning grasshopper, is a nod to the popularity of insects in Oaxacan cuisine. Curtains can be drawn for added privacy, creating a comfortable and secluded setting for your gathering. The room features a photograph by Diego Huerta and offers a flexible layout well suited for both social and professional occasions.

Lounge
Tucked just beside the lobby entrance, the Lounge at Xochi offers a cozy semi-private setting for gatherings of all kinds. Banquette seating creates a comfortable space for seated dinners, while the flexible layout also works beautifully for cocktail or reception-style events. The room is adorned with vibrant alebrijes suspended from the ceiling and striking photographs by Diego Huerta, adding color and character to this intimate corner of the restaurant.

The covered patio at Xochi offers a relaxed open-air setting overlooking Discovery Green. With views of the park, it’s an ideal space for happy hours, receptions, and cocktail-style gatherings.
